Privacy Policy
TGV Construction Group Inc. ("TGV", "we") respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information this website collects, why, where it is kept and the choices you have. It applies to www.tgvconstructiongroup.ca.
What we collect
When you send a form
The quote and contact forms ask for your name, email address, phone number and a message about your project. We use them only to answer you, prepare a quote and, if you hire us, carry out and manage the work. Your enquiry goes straight into our customer records system so the right person can respond.
When you visit the site
We count visits so we know which pages are useful and how people find us. For each page you open we record the page, the time, the website you came from (for example Google), your device type (computer, phone or tablet) and your approximate location at city level, as estimated by our hosting provider. To tell a returning visitor from a new one, your browser keeps a random number on your device; it contains nothing about you.
We do not record your IP address, we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of individual visitors. Visit statistics are only ever looked at as totals.
When you subscribe to our blog
If you subscribe, we keep your email address together with the date you confirmed and the wording you agreed to (the law requires us to be able to show your consent). Nothing is sent until you press Confirm in the email we send you. We use your address only to tell you about new posts, at most once a day. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, which takes effect immediately.
The site remembers in your browser whether you already subscribed or closed the invitation, so we do not ask again. This is not a cookie and is never sent to us.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- We do not send you marketing messages unless you ask for them.
- We do not use your information for any purpose other than the ones above without asking you first.
Who helps us
A few service providers handle information on our behalf, only to run these services:
- OVHcloud hosts our customer records system on servers in Canada (Quebec).
- Cloudflare delivers this website and estimates a visitor's city for our visit statistics.
- Microsoft 365 handles our email.
Some of these providers may process information outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of that country. They are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and customer records for as long as needed to serve you, and afterwards as long as the law requires (for example for tax and warranty records). Visit statistics are kept as long as they are useful for understanding how the site is used.
How we protect it
The site and our systems use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to customer records is limited to the people at TGV who need it for their work, each with their own login.
Your choices
- Access, correct or delete: you can ask what information we hold about you, have it corrected, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@tgvconstructiongroup.ca. We will answer within 30 days.
- Visit statistics: if your browser sends a "Global Privacy Control" signal we count your visit without the random number. You can also clear your browser's site data at any time.
- Withdraw consent: you can tell us at any time to stop contacting you.
